The North Shore Trading Company, is located on the north shore of Big Bear Lake in the picturesque village of Fawnskin, CA. The store features an eclectic mixture of: strong, lightweight wooden canoes, Kevlar canoes and kayaks, rowing boats, and boat accessories; fishing tackle (including vintage bamboo fly rods, reels, and wicker creels), with fly tying and fly casting lessons by local fishing guide Keith Kern, and a future fly fishing shop with Redington rods and reels; winter toboggans, sleds, and snowshoes; canoe and rustic cedar log furniture; French Dressing pants and capris; Woolrich shirts, shorts, sweaters, and tops; and our embroidered logo items; cabin decor and floral arrangements by local artists; a kitchen corner with salsas, jams, muffin mixes and nuts made in the Big Bear Valley. Big Bear Lake is nestled in the San Bernardino Mountains 90 miles east of Los Angeles and is defined by its rustic traditions, rich history, and pristine views. The San Bernardino Mountains provide an ecological oasis for wildlife south of the Sierra Nevadas, including the American Bald Eagle. Host to two of Southern California's largest ski resorts, Big Bear Lake provides four seasons of abundant recreational opportunities.
